Your Google Chat, summarized daily

Coworker agents read the spaces, group chats and direct messages you are in, then write a daily summary of what got done, what was decided and what is still open in each active conversation. Every conversation stays private to the people in it.

The Google Chat integration is in beta. It is live with early customers today. Book a demo and we will switch it on for your team.

What gets automated

Daily conversation summaries

Each space, group chat and DM with a real discussion that day gets its own summary of what got done, what was decided and what is still open.

Signal, not chatter

Quick replies like "ok" and "+1", small talk, and notices from bots and apps never count as news, so a day with nothing of substance gets no summary at all.

Meeting chat follow-through

Links, questions and proposals that people type into a Google Meet chat land in that day's summary, so side comments made during a call are not lost.

Who works with whom

Agents know who is in each conversation and who posts most, and they recognize a teammate in Google Chat as the same person they see in Gmail and Google Drive.

Setup

Live in minutes

1

Sign in with Google

Each person connects their own Google Workspace account with Google sign-in and lets Coworker read their Google Chat and send messages, add reactions and create spaces for them. Coworker sees only the conversations that person is in.

2

Your conversations arrive

Coworker reads the last 90 days of your spaces, group chats and direct messages, newest first, then checks for new messages several times a day.

3

Agents start working

Agents write a daily summary of each active conversation and draw on it when you ask what happened in a space, a group chat or a DM. When you ask, they also search your chats, send a message, add a reaction or set up a new space or group chat for you.

Security

Enterprise-grade from day one

Coworker is SOC 2 Type II certified, GDPR compliant, and CASA Tier 2 certified. Your Google Chat data is processed securely and never used to train AI models.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Read access to the spaces, members, messages and reactions you can see in Google Chat, permission to send messages, add reactions and create spaces as you, plus your name and email address so Coworker knows whose account it is. Each person grants this for their own account when they sign in with Google. Coworker never asks for permission to edit or delete messages.

Only its members. A space, group chat or direct message, and its daily summary, are visible in Coworker only to the people who are in that conversation in Google Chat, never to the whole company. When someone leaves a space, Coworker removes their access within a day.

Coworker keeps a copy of the messages it reads, so each summary can point back to its source. It handles Google Chat data under Google's Limited Use requirements, and an AI model that Coworker hosts itself writes the summaries. The text of messages in conversations with history turned off is never stored, deleted messages are removed within a day, and a conversation's messages are removed within a week after its last connected member disconnects.

Yes, when you ask. An agent can send a message to a space, a group chat, a thread or one person, and it starts a direct message when you do not have one yet. It can also react to a message with an emoji and create a space or group chat. It acts as you, with your own Google Chat permissions, and each message shows as sent by you through the Coworker app. Agents cannot edit or delete a message after it is sent.

Google Workspace accounts that have Google Chat turned on. Google offers its Chat API to Workspace users only, so personal Google accounts cannot connect.
